Please read the guidelines below if you are new to appointments with us.

Our Expectations

To get started, read the following expectations then register for an account by clicking the link to the left.  We reserve the right to end or cancel your appointment if these expectations are not met.  

Preparedness: You must be prepared for tutoring by bringing specific writing-related questions as well as all necessary materials, including a copy of the paper and prompts. If you have already worked with a tutor, bring a new copy of your revised draft to your next session, demonstrating that you have attempted to apply what you have learned.

Lateness: If you are more than five minutes late for a tutoring session, your appointment will be given to the next person on the waiting list or a drop-in, and you will be marked as a no-show for that appointment.

Canceling: If you cannot make your appt., you must cancel no later than 30 minutes prior. If you miss three appts. without cancelling in advance, you will be blocked from the system. You will then be limited to waitlist-only appointments for the rest of the semester. If tutors do not have an appointment, then they are available on a first-come, first-served basis. It is your responsibility to cancel your appointment.

Frequency: Appointments are 30-minutes, with a maximum of 60 min. total per day. Back-to-back appts. are not allowed.
